AOE will work with you to develop a customized strategic plan based on themes identified from the Assessment Tool as well as proven best practices and metrics to support DEI initiatives and programs (including a review of internal policies and procedures).


Further, AOE will assist you in setting a clear vision and common vocabulary that will be integral to making DEI plans feel both accessible and personal. AOE will partner with you to create language for your marketing materials related to your DEI journey. 

1. Establishing benchmarks and setting your DEI goals to align with your business objectives: With your organization's unique D&I data in hand (from the assessment phase), you can start charting the path your organization will need to embark to become more diverse and inclusive.

2. Creating achievable goals through action items

  • Including pointed action items for each strategic D&I goal ensures that goals are achievable.

  • These types of goals are often referred to as “SMART” goals: Specific, Measurable, Action-oriented, Results-oriented, and Time-bound.


3. Developing a DEI Communication plan

  • Communicate the DEI mission / vision and strategy internally and externally.

  • Onboarding process.

  • Digital brand: DEI information on your website and social media.

  • Telling the DEI story throughout the journey as well as periodic reporting.
